The precise location of this house was given but is witheld to protect the privacy of the owner.
The following experiences are described by somebody who lived in the house as a girl from 1966-1967:
There were five of us living there with our parents. Our bedrooms were upstairs while my parents used the front room downstairs as their bedroom. Although we did not have a rocking chair, on many occasions we could hear the sound of one rocking in the front room. My mother told me an elderly man had once lived there and would sit in his rocking chair looking out of the window. I had a little toy flute I loved to play in my room, which was the upstairs middle bedroom. After a while, I stopped playing it because it had a nasty taste. Yet during the afternoons when nobody else was home except my mother, she could still hear the flute being played on the screened-in porch upstairs at the back of the house. I never knew how the flute ended up on the porch.
My mother would not go down into the basement as she felt there was something ‘bad’ down there. |
Reported Activity
On numerous occasions my sisters and I saw the apparition of a young girl 'floating' up the stairs and enter my bedroom. I often felt I was not alone in my bedroom but it was not a frightening presence. (The picture is representative only)
