Holbrook St House The exact location of this house is unknown but it has been for sale several times and apparently once people move in, they never stay long.
A couple that moved into the house with a small baby would hear footsteps up and down the hall at night. When they went to investigate they saw the apparition of an old woman who would then ‘shush’ them.
One particular night when they went to check on the baby who was crying, the old woman was seen holding her hand over the baby's mouth and shushing it with the other. The couple was so scared by this that they grabbed their baby and left. They all moved out the next day.
East First St Apartment A woman who lived in an apartment building on East First Street several years ago reported the following occurances:
Lights would go on and off all over the house by themselves. This happened so often that I thought we might have an electrical fault and reported it to the housing authority. They checked everything but could find nothing wrong.
My baby and 2 ½ year old daughter shared a bedroom near the back of the apartment. My daughter hated playing in there by herself and always insisted on dragging her toys into the living room. After we had been living there a few months my daughter told me she had a new friend. I would see my daughter get up from playing and reach out as if to hold somebody's hand, then go the bedroom and play for hours.
At first we assumed it was just my daughter’s over-active imagination but then we would hear the musical toys being turned on and the piano keys being played when our children were not home. We also started hearing a baby cry and would rush in thinking it was our baby, only to find her sound asleep. The crying would continue for a few moments then fade. Everybody who came to visit experienced the crying baby at least once.
